Geometric Colors — Ricardo Carriço

Numa Sala presents Geometric Colors, the latest chapter in Ricardo Carriço‘s artistic journey. In this exhibition, the artist explores the relationship between colour, matter, and geometry, transforming each composition into a dialogue between discipline and emotion.

Carriço’s work emerges from a unique path, where the body, image, and space have always intersected. From his experience as a model to his training in interior design, along with a long-standing career as an actor, the artist has accumulated a profound understanding of structure, presence, and visual construction. In Geometric Colors, these worlds converge into a distinct pictorial language, where colour becomes architecture and form gains expression.

The exhibition brings together two new collections — Geometric and New Ropes — united by an intense chromatic code: red, yellow, blue, and black.

In the Geometric series, colour organizes space in a play of rhythm, balance, and tension.
In New Ropes, the introduction of ropes woven onto the canvas adds texture and volume, evoking the connection between body, matter, and gesture.

Ricardo Carriço’s work reveals a constant duality: the geometric precision that structures and the organic nature of the gesture that liberates. Between reason and instinct, technique and intuition, Geometric Colors celebrates an artistic vision that is simultaneously rigorous and vulnerable.

We invite you to come and let yourself be hypnotized by the fascination of colour and the calm contained within these canvases.
